Designing best practice after hours primary care services.
The Western Victorian Primary Health Network (WVPHN) has been working with the b.school4change director, Claire Edwards, to lead the coordination and delivery of a series of co-design workshops.
In July 2015, the Commonwealth started funding after hours service provision. This included funding to Primary Health Networks (PHN) for the improvement of local area access to after hours primary health care. A range of initiatives has been supported by the WVPHN like the following:
Access to after hours urgent care,
After hours telehealth pilot,
After hours collaborative innovation grants, and
After hours sub-regional engagement projects.
Over the past four months the WVPHN has collaborated with stakeholders across the region and healthcare sector to designing options that would enhance after hours primary care service models.
Your contributions are currently being collated to inform the procurement process scheduled for late March 2020 for After Hours Primary Health Care Program funding into the future.
